With these powers combined, we bring you our first annual Coffee Cocktail Competition! Pulling from the tradition and energy of a coffee throwdown + the creativity behind craft cocktail bars, we will host 10 bartenders/baristas from local bars & coffee shops in competition for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards.
Attendees will receive whiskey tastings from JJ Neukomm Whiskey and attendee prizes. Competition cocktails will have a limited number of crowd tastings.
FOAM coffee cocktails (+full bar / coffee menu) available for purchase - brewing COMA Coffee as always.

10 participants will be chosen to compete. All participants will be notified by 8/31. Accepted participants will be required to submit a $10 entry fee to secure competition spot. Entry fee is due (via Venmo or Paypal to FOAM STL) by 9/10/18.
*As a participant*:
*You will be provided 12oz of COMA coffee beans 2 weeks prior to the competition to allow for preparation & experimentation. ALL cocktails must incorporate COMA beans + JJ Neukomm whiskey (in whatever way you prefer...IE: tincture/reduction/cold brew/etc). Pre-batched elements and/or custom made ingredients are allowed, however - JJ Neukomm whiskey will not be distributed to participants until day of event.
*Day of event - you will have access to the espresso/drip machines, grinders, french press at FOAM as well as general barista tools. Competitors are encouraged to bring preferred bar tools, but are welcome to utilize FOAM bar tools if needed. Ice will be provided (large format and chip size).
*Day of event - you will be provided JJ Neukomm Whiskey (distilled by Spirits of St Louis) for your cocktail recipe/execution.
*Competitors are expected to execute 12 total cocktails for the competition (3 full cocktails for the judges and 9 cocktails for attendees to sample @1oz pours).
*Competitors must arrive Tuesday October 2nd by 5pm. Doors for event are at 6pm and cocktail pours start at 7pm.
*1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded by a panel comprised of local bartenders/baristas/industry business owners. Prize packages are valued at $500, $250, $100.
